~ Opening Day Woodbine Racetrack - April 16, 2005 ~
The Jim & Alice Sapara owned, Maryfield, trained by Josie Carroll (left), ridden by Patrick Husbands, was the winner of the first race of the 2005 season at Woodbine. Also in the photo is Assistant trainer Lori Allen and groom Dean Adams.

Jockey Todd Kabel gives the “thumbs up” after winning
the first stakes event of the 2005 season, the Jacques Cartier Stakes aboard Ministers Wild Cat who is being lead to the winners enclosure by trainer Scott Fairlie.
Todd recorded a second stakes win the following weekend aboard Lemon Maid in the Star Shoot Stakes for trainer Malcolm Pierce and owner Pin Oak Stable.
Trainer Kwong Lam is currently training 5 horses for owner Bruno Schickedanz in 2005.
