Stephanie began riding at Woodbine in May 2007 and recorded her  rst win on Queen’s Plate Day, June 24 aboard the Albert Sangers trained, Black Tea.

Stephanie recorded  ve more wins in 2007 with total purse earnings of $261,571.
18 year-old Juan Carlos Gutierrez will be arriving at Hastings to begin his career as a thoroughbred jockey.

Stephanie decided to move West
to Hastings after speaking with
Agent Trapper Barroby. “I always wanted to come out to B.C. and when Trapper phoned me, I jumped at the opportunity.” she said. Stephanie tacks 108lbs and Trapper will be her agent at Hastings.
Juan is the younger brother of last season’s leading rider Mario Gutierrez. According to his agent, Wayne Snow, Juan has been riding quarter
horses at De Las Americas racetrack in Mexico City where his father is a trainer. According to Snow the young- er Gutierrez tacks a mere 107 pounds and is eager to get to Hastings.
