Trainer Ian Alderson and owner Carrie McDonough with 6 YO Anwar, a gelding owned by Ian’s father Malcolm. The goat, Little Andy, is Anwar’s best buddy at the track. Ian & Carrie plan on looking for work for the winter months.
Trainer Anthony Alderson (left) and his brother Glen with 8 year old Sandspit whom Anthony has had since he was 3. Glen works at the track on the weekends & in between his job as a baker. The pair currently have a broodmare prospect for sale - a 4YO  lly by Silver Deputy - Rare Executive
Tammy Shepler with 6-year-old colt, Number Juan, who is trained by her husband, Chris. Number Juan was recently retired after being eased in his last start. Tammy and Chris are about to
celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary and are looking forward to taking a break for the winter.
Trainer Lynn Simon says she might run a few at Woodbine and then retreat to the farm for a while,“the horses deserve a break”. Dave Bland, holding 6 YO Girl Watcher, says he plans to do a “whole bunch of nothing!”

Wilfred Hylton will be heading to Woodbine and then he is go- ing to hibernate.

Photo Left - Trainer Paul Herrington plans to look after his horses this winter. He has been a trainer since retiring from the Region of Niagara
7 years ago. He had been an owner for at least 30 years prior.
Trainer Layne Giliforte will be taking 18 horses to Fairhill Training Centre in Maryland. He plans to race at Philadelphia for Eugene Melnyk and other clients. The training centre is also close to Laurel and Penn National and he could even  nd some races at Aqueduct. “I always wanted to train in a training centre environment. It will be nice to get away from the fast pace of the track.”
Exercise Rider, Carl Ryan, takes abreak with 6YO Royal Dilemma who is trained byTim Patterson. The successful mare will get the winter off and see how she is next year - she had 4 wins in 2006 and 1 win this season. Carl will be heading toTampa to freelance for the winter.
Dan Edwards, Horseman’s Liaison at Fort Erie, will be going to Cuba for 2 weeks and Arizona for 2 weeks. Then he will be working on the house in Crystal Beach.
Debbie Quaranta with 2YO Florida-bred  lly, Mixx Lexicon, who she owns with partner Paul Cooper. Debbie & Ralph plan to stay home with the horses for the  rst time in 4 years.
