was his love. Ted never needed an invitation. I’m going to miss him. He was a part of Fort Erie Racing.”
Ted will be remembered by many of his “Amigos and Amigas” as “The King” a nickname which he dubbed himself after winning a major pick seven. He was “The King” to all who knew him.
“I knew Ted for more than 25 years,” said Trainer Nick Gonzalez, “Right up to the end of his days, whenever I ran into him we’d always exchange opin- ions. I always had fun with Ted and always used to take exception when he didn’t pick me in his handicapping. He was a great supporter for Fort Erie throughout the years. He will be sadly missed. He lived racing and was a great ambassador.”
He had a passion for the sport of horseracing and his love of handicap- ping was evident, even more so because he was good at it.

Ted was a regular at Fort Erie Racetrack and many people fondly remember him:
“I think he liked me,” said Jockey Regina Sealock, “He always put in nice little articles about me. It was always great when he showed up. He loved Shirley’s egg salad sandwiches.”
Ted is survived by his wife, Linda; children Daniel, Tom, and Sandra; grandchildren Stephen and Brandon; sisters Violet and Irene; and sister-in-law Betty.
“Ted was the best and we always welcomed him,” said former Fort Erie track announcer Daryl Wells Jr. “I knew his love for Fort Erie and there were many times when you wanted to give him heck, but I loved the guy. Every-

Mythical Ruler was euthanized due to the infirmities of old age September 8, 2007, he was 29.
Mythical Ruler was a stakes winner from age 2 through 6. He won 17 races, nine stakes, and ran 2nd in six stakes. His victories came in stakes races that would now turn his $307,803 earnings into well over $2 million.
He won the Stephen Foster and The Spiral,(now Gr. 1’s) and graded Stepping Stone, he won the Anchorage H. and was second two years in a row in the Washington Park H. (gr. 2).
He retired completely sound to Shannondoe Farm in 1984 and started stud duties in 1985. His

That Daily Racing Form welcomed its seventh new owner on October 19. Arlington Capital Partners, a Washington- based Private Equity fund has formed Sports Information Group which now includes DRF and its sister company Sports Enthusiast Media. Daily Racing Form was pur- chased from The Wicks Group of Companies for an undisclosed amount.
