Anestasia Beelich, the niece of Woodbine trainer Sandy McPherson, purchased Rivered Again off the racetrack from owner Anthony DiPaola three years ago.
The now six-year-old mare is succeed- ing in a second career as a hunter jumper and the pair just recently completed their first full season of competition in 2005.
Anestasia has had Rivvah (her show name) in training for the past three years and are currently ranked thirteenth in the Training Hunter Division and tenth in the Low Hunter Division in the Ottawa Valley
Primary Schooling Circuit. Rivvah was also named Reserve Champion at one of her shows in August.
For the past two years, Rivvah has resided at Lone Wolf Farm, which is owned and operated by Marilyn McFadden, and has been focusing primarily on the hunter discipline.
The pair have recently moved to Kemptville College in Ottawa where they are participating in the Equestrian Program which focuses on teaching the key elements of riding and coaching.

Woodbine Jockey Jillian Scharfstein easily beat the field in the newly released X-Box game, NTRA Breeders’ Cup World Thoroughbred Championships. Woodbine was promoting the new game during Canadian International Day on October 23 and a few of the riders came up to test their skill during the demonstrations. The game features realistic graphics and allows you (who plays the jockey in the game) to pick the racetrack, the horse you want to ride, and even the weather which affects
the condition of the racetrack.
You break from the starting gate and have to maneuver through traffic or fend
off other horses in a realistic race to the finish.
Up to two people can play in the same race which has lifelike depictions of racetracks such as Woodbine, Keeneland, Monmouth, Oaklawn, Saratoga, Del Mar and many more.
The game is available for both X-Box and PlayStation and is on sale at the gift shops at Woodbine for $19.99 plus taxes as well as other regular retail outlets.
