Ian Gawler Cancer Survival
and Cure Case Study:
Back in the 1980s I read a book by a
man called Ian Gawler. He was a cancer
survivor who healed himself. His story
was that
he had radiation therapy and
Ian’s right leg was amputated at St Vincent's Hospital in 1975, when he was 24, because tests proved he had osteogenic sarcoma, an aggressive bone cancer. Before that he was a veterinarian and promising athlete.
A year after the conventional treatments doctors found (cancerous) lumps near the amputation in his groin. He lost weight and suffered night sweats, leg pain and back pain and in early 1976 was given only weeks to live by the medical business. Which was THEIR opinion. That year he also suffered growths on his chest and started coughing up blood.
He was told the original cancer had
spread and had reached his lungs. He was
given three to six months to live,
according to the Internal Medicine
Journal report. Dr Gawler then decided to
try a different path. He embarked on an
intense program of alternative therapies,
prompted by Melbourne psychiatrist
Ainslie Meares. The therapies included
coffee enemas, massage and
vegetarianism. He even went to India
and the Philippines on spiritual retreats, including an audience with controversial Indian mystic Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
His body and mind in harmony, he healed himself and has been teaching others and cancer free for over 30 years now.
