As I rest, my jacket shifts ajar due to the weight of a cell phone in the right pocket.
My original impulse is to
extract the phone and set it aside to restore balance.
I do not move but ponder the prompt. Think of a coat.
Now think of a pocket within that coat. What’s in it?
How many frivolous
items have winnowed through this hoarder’s pockets?
