C - E Crankshaft Pulley Removal/Flywheel Locking Tools
Many timing belt replacement procedures require the crankshaft pulley to be removed in order to remove the timing belt.
Flywheel holding tools engage into the teeth of the flywheel to prevent the crankshaft turning as the pulley bolt is released or tightened.
Crankshaft pulley bolts have a high torque loading and therefore it is essential that the crankshaft is held securely.
Using tools specifically made to hold the flywheel prevents damage to the starter ring gear and housings and, most importantly, allows the safe release/tightening of the crankshaft pulley bolt.
