           Compact eXtream Technology
- 10.8v and 12v Max
Changes to EPTA procedures mean that Makita 10.8V products
will in future be rated as 12V max. This will be a rolling change throughout the range commencing in 2018, and is the average value of the calculated mean voltage delivered by three battery samples. By exception batteries with a value of between 10.8V and 12V may have a nominal voltage declared of 12V.
Item numbers and EANs WILL NOT change on machines and kits. Item numbers and EANs WILL change on batteries and chargers.
There will be no tangible change to the machines or batteries, as everything is backwards and forwards compatible. The only physical change to the tools will be the ID plate, which in future will state the voltage as 10.8v-12v, rather than 10.8V as currently stated.
