Although this is a category which will be dis- cussed fully elsewhere, note should be taken here of the complete flagon discovered in 1978, bearing an ‘hour-glass’ mouth and a rosette medallion 78 K 56; 15.8/1.3 (Fig. 4).
I. Pewter bottle tops
Over 30 such tops were recovered during the 1978 season, many of them bearing the central ‘HK device noted previously (Price & Muckelroy, 1977: fig. 18). An unusually small example, only 0.033 m in diameter, has
also been found, bearing a ‘star of David’ design.
J. Pewterobjects
J22. Pewter spoon, with a spiral moulded
handle ending in the form of a horse’s foot. In perfect condition, having been found in iron concretion (76 K 104; Site G, -12.5-0.4) (Fig. 5).
