Louise NEWMAN
Dandelion – Taraxacum Officinale, 2017
Watercolour on paper, 38cm x 50cm
Year left 1977
Louise worked at Christies as a European porcelain specialist for a number of years before having children. Over the last few years she has begun botanical painting in watercolour.
“The Dandelion was a challenge to paint. It was part of a group exhibit at the RHS drawing attention to some of the common native British plants which have been taken out of the Oxford Junior Dictionary. I really enjoyed getting to know this plant and its habits.”
