Lucy FITZWILLIAM-LAY
Art Scholar, UVI Form
This series of drawings, completed during a life drawing class, explores the use of both continuous line and cross-hatching to form the female body. Depicting a mixture of static and moving poses, Lucy wanted to capture the electricity of the human form. Within the series she focused mainly on the centre of the body and frequently omit the limbs, creating a disjointed and fragmented structure, making the torso an entity within itself.
