ALEXANDER TALBOT RICE is fast becoming the most sought-after portrait artist of his generation, having undertaken numerous commissions for the British Royal Family and other world leaders. His portraits are internationally recognised and adorn some of the most prestigious collections in the world.
He is one of the very few artists ever to be classically trained at the world’s top two art academies – the Florence Academy in Italy and the Repin Academy in St Petersburg. He now holds the prestigious position of honourary professor of Fine Arts at the Repin Academy.
Alexander is known for capturing the personality, humanity and character of his subjects. He paints in a naturalistic, figurative tradition. He has exhibited across the globe and his portraits are hung in Royal Palaces and the world’s leading art galleries.
Alexander attended Stowe School on an art scholarship, before studying politics, philosophy and history at Durham University before pursuing his vocation as an artist
