With hate crimes at record highs nationwide, including significant increases in school-based incidents and unprecedented levels of antisemitic incidents, Holocaust Museum LA’s work is more important than ever.
HMLA teaches the critical lessons and continued relevance of the Holocaust, building empathy, and empowering students and visitors to speak out and stand up against antisemitism, bigotry, and hatred.
Making Holocaust education completely accessible for students – primarily from underserved communities – with free admission, free school tours, and bus transportation for schools in need.
Offering customized, high-tech, and artifact-rich exhibits; creative educational programs and public events; and intergenerational conversations with Holocaust survivors and their descendants.
Expanding for the future: Situated on 1.5 acres in the heart of Los Angeles with over 50,000 square feet of interior space, the new Jona Goldrich Campus will open on June 14, 2026 and accommodate 500,000 visitors annually, including 150,000 students.
