BLESSINGTON UNION OF PARISHES
I hope that as you read these notes that you are well and coping with the very strange times which we are living through at the moment.
Because we are unable to meet in church for our worship and services we have gone online. A service for each Sunday can be viewed on You Tube by going to YouTube/Blessington Union/and the date of the Sunday (eg. Sunday 17th May 2020).I am very grateful to Mr. Graham Coe for providing the music and singing and for those who have done readings and who work behind the scenes to make all of this possible.
We extend our sympathy to Mrs. Janet Halligan and the Halligan family on the death of Janet’s husband Joe. Also to the Holmes family on the death of Mr. Norman Holmes. Norman’s wife Elsie is fondly remembered by many parishioners in St. Mary’s. Bereavement and loss is hard at any time but is made much more so due to the restrictions
around visiting and gathering for funeral’s. The families who are going through loss and grief at the moment are in our thoughts and prayers in a special way.
Thank you to everyone who has responded to our appeal for financial support of the parish. A parish is like every other enterprise and business and has bills and overheads that still need to be paid even when the doors are shut. All donations are greatly appreciated and can be sent to the Treasurers or myself or transferred through online banking.
Keep safe and well and please contact me if there is anything which I can do to help at this time.
God Bless. Rev. Leonard.

Our Rural Dean Reverend Jack Kinkead, encourages all parishioners to think of vulnerable or isolated neighbours during this period and to offer support and assistance as appropriate.
