O Lord, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, we give you thanks for bringing us safely to this day. Keep us from falling into sin or running into danger, and in all things guide us to know and do your will: through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Father, thank you for your presence with me this day. As the psalmist says, this is the day that you have made, help me to rejoice and be glad in all the blessings you have ahead for me today. Help me in all my cares and woes, in good health and in times of trial, to know that you are with me and that you have promised that you will never leave me or forsake me. Amen.
Lord God, I seek to do your will today. I pray that you will fill me with courage and peace; when I am tempted or in distress, answer me when I call to you. I consecrate myself to you this day – my thoughts, my words and actions; my joys and my sorrows. Keep me close to you in all I do. Amen.
