South Durras
Terri cally low key and relaxed, it’s hard to imagine the golden beaches and majestic forests of
South Durras are a place of immense geological importance. Every unspoilt beach and rock platform offers a mix of beautiful formations, rich in fossils that point to ice ages, volcanic eruptions and
early forms of life. The Ancient Headlands walk makes exploring this stunning coastline easy and educational.
Broulee
The people and communities that hug the beaches of Broulee are forever pinching themselves about the paradise they live in. Residents delight in seeing visitors enjoy snorkelling, swimming, sur ng or kayaking along this distinctive stretch of coastline. Candlagan Creek with its calm, clear shallow pools is a popular spot with families, while Broulee Island makes for a great walk at low tide.
Tuross Head
Built on the idea of being the perfect lifestyle location, Tuross Head has been a favourite option for holiday makers since the mid-1920s. As you walk under the towering Norfolk Pines that dot the headland pathway and boardwalk, give Hector McWilliam a thought. Captivated by their shape and presence, the Tuross pioneer raised and planted 100 of the pines.
Boating, shing, kayaking, swimming, cycling and golf all take place in the midst of sweeping views.
Mystery Bay
The mystical presence of Montague Island off Eurobodalla’s coastline looms large at Mystery Bay. But the beautiful beach got its name from the 1880 disappearance of government geologist, Lamont Young. Young and his party were on a mission to inspect the gold elds of the area when their boat was found abandoned on a beach that forever more was known as Mystery Bay.
Beautiful camping sites sit atop the headland, which for many become a base for their unspoilt holiday.
