OVERVIEW
In this chapter, students apply
a communicative approach to the topic of climate change in the Mekong Delta. In Grade 10, students acknowledge their own and collective carbon footprints, and learn how Cần Thơ calls upon diverse stakeholders— including students—to address sustainability and resiliency needs with simple and advanced measures. Grade 11 students are challenged to reduce waste, highlight natural Delta products, and imagine ground-breaking ecotourism. By Grade 12, students examine renewable energy and green infrastructure solutions for their future.
Across all three grade levels, they work through six steps of critical tthinking: knowledge, comprehension, application, analysis, synthesis, and valuation.
