          Definition / information
• Use a product to make something else with all or parts of it.
• Get the maximum use out of a product before disposing of it.
• Use a carrier bag, wash out a glass bottle, or refill it.
• Do we make too much? Do we actually need all the things we buy?
• Design in a way that considers people and the environment.
• Re-design products to minimize use of non-renewable resources.
• Reprocess a material or product and make something else.
• Put used recyclable products in recycling bins.
• As materials need to be separated, some cannot be recycled.
• Examples include glass, many plastics, metals, paper, and wood.
• Don’t use a material if you don’t need it
• Don’t buy a product if it’s bad for people or the environment.
• Refuse plastic carrier bags and unnecessary packaging when offered.
• Cut down the amount of material and energy you use.
• Reduce the consumable products you use.
• Recycling and Reusing existing products and materials.
• When a product breaks down or doesn’t work properly, fix it.
• Minimize non-renewable resources and energy used in manufacture.
