 Simple Present Tense: Form and Meaning
The simple present tense expresses the things that happen every day. The simple present tense expresses habits.

they walk
Verbs in sentences expressed in simple present tense are expressed in the same way for I, you, we and they.
The verb changes by adding a final -s when used in the 3rd person singular – he, she and it.
These sentences express habits. In (a) eating rice is a habit. It is an activity that happens every day, which refers to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and so on. In (b)
we know that school is Monday through Friday or Saturday and the walk happens on those mornings. In (h) we understand the walk happens whenever there is school.
weekend = Friday afternoon, Saturday, Sunday weekday = Monday to Friday
(a) I eat rice every day.
(b) You walk to school in the morning.
(c) He plays soccer every weekend.
(d) She texts her friends every afternoon.
(e) It feels hot in the evenings.
(f) We sleep every night.
(g) You learn English every weekday.
(h) They ride bikes home after school.
