    Jeopardy!
     Go to: BendingBamboo.com → Members → Teacher Repository → Grade 10 → Chapter 2 → Jeopardy!
On the Bending Bamboo website, familiarize yourself and classmates with the layout of Jeopardy! Before you play Jeopardy!, you may want to watch a game on YouTube to have some idea of the game. You can Google “Jeopardy!” for a regular game or “Jeopardy! Teen Tournament” to see teenagers play the game.
Here is one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7Y_uCQCgZs.
In Jeopardy!, you will see a slide like this:
Jeopardy! is a game of questions and answers, but it is in reverse order. A contestant will first see the answer, and then must form the question. For example, one will see the answer: “A four-legged animal that barks.” Then the contestant must form a correct question, which is “What is a dog?”
Jeopardy! is played with 4 people: one is the emcee (Master of Ceremonies) and three are contestants.
The emcee is the person who has all the answers and questions. The emcee tells the contestants if they have formed a correct or incorrect question. The emcee reads the answers and keeps the game going in a quick and lively manner.
The contestants are those who play the game, form the questions, and compete for points.
Here is how you play:
1. Decide which contestant will begin by choosing a category.
2. This contestant chooses one of the six categories and the number of points he or she wants to play for. For example, she might say, “Movies for 200.”
3. The emcee will click the box that relates to this category (Tiger) and question value (200). And the emcee reads the answer.
4. All three contestants can show that they know the right question by raising their hands. The emcee will call on the first contestant who raises his or her hand.
5. The contestant must provide his or her question within three seconds.
6. The emcee announces if the question is correct or incorrect.
7. If the question presented is incorrect, that contestant loses the point value. Another contestant may present a question. And if he is correct, he earns points, and then selects the next category and point value.
8. After all of the answers have been selected, the contestant with the highest number of points is the winner.
