Teacher Comment on Written Report Overall score is 7 of 10.
Content 3/4
There is clear evidence of the procedure used in selecting the stimuli and the context (nature, type, source) from which they were chosen are explicitly given. Issues raised in the stimuli are clearly defined and explored. Most of the relevant tasks which have been performed by the group members are noted and defined.
Note is made of the evidence provided in relation to your procedure used in selecting the stimuli; the references were checked and in fact correspond to the materials you have included in your portfolio.
The report could be improved by more clearly explicitly stating the context from which the stimuli was chosen. This could include a brief background to the issue as well as any details that establishes the setting (dates, prior significant events, new policies/practices, etc.).
Evidence of Investigation 2/3
This is a good response; all sources of the various stimuli are acknowledged and documented. The analysis focuses on some of the key issues only. Whereas you have addressed the issues of environmental awareness and building economies, there is no evidence that you have considered the issue of cultural appreciation in any meaningful way. Also, only some of the findings of discussions and research of the relevance to the stimulus material are clearly stated.
The group can improve this report by digging deeper for insights and focusing some more on the analysis.
Language use and vocabulary 2/3
This report demonstrates very good control of language (grammar) and vocabulary). Much of your report is descriptive; I would like it to seem more insightful analyses of the issues.
This report could be improved if you stick with your original game plan (your Plan of Investigation) where you had planned to “extract facts, detect bias, and assess persuasion”. Your writing can only benefit from the inclusion of these.
As you make changes, please ensure that you do not remove any required content. If you are forced to reduce your word count, then do so by tightening your sentences.
