NOTE: There are many thread types. Some were created specifically for certain fire departments. The three primary threads used for wildland firefighting and what we stock are:
1) National Hose Thread (also known as National Standard Thread) and designated by “NH” or “NST”
2) National Pipe Straight Hose designated by “NPSH” or “NP”
3) Garden Hose Thread or “GHT” a 3/4 inch version of “NH” thread
*** We also stock a few National Pipe Thread Taper (NPT) which is a U.S. standard for tapered threads used on threaded pipes and fittings.
