m2 HEAT PUMP manifold
FORGED BRASS BODY
Heat pumps use the same refrigeration cycle for heating and cooling. A heat pump can change which coil is the condenser and which is the evaporator by way of a reversing valve. Using a traditional manifold to service a heat pump is not advisable as the low side of the gauge will be damaged when the system goes into heating mode. Therefore, both gauges of the manifold must be designed to handle the high pressures of the heating mode.
The M2 heat pump manifold has two 3-1/8" glow-in-the-dark Class 1, 1% accuracy,
gauges designed for 800 psi to handle the heat pump pressures. Because of the significant temperature glide on R407C, the pressure/ temperature scale has two sections. For temperatures below 50°, the scale is
based on saturated vapor (dew point DP).
For temperatures above 50 degrees, the scale is based on saturated liquid (bubble point BP). Use the DP for superheat calculations and
the BP for subcooling calculations.
