ACCESS VALVE OVERVIEW
JB machines access valves at our Aurora, Illinois facility using 100% American C360 alloy brass sourced from US mills. This gives our brass fittings and access valves high tensile strength while
resisting corrosion. If you are not buying American made brass fittings, ask yourself: what is the metal content used in the imported versions? Do you trust it? Can you afford to have them fail? We machine all
of our valves according to the strict specifications of ARI to ensure proper sealing of valve and core surfaces. Quality and dependability come standard from an American made product.
TUBE SIZING
ODS AND ODF FIT DESCRIPTIONS
Descriptions for solder/braze access valves specify the connecting tube OD. Size and type fit illustrated right are the types of fit for A31723 valve. The connecting line slips around access fitting. Look under the ODF heading in the AC/R Copper Tube chart above.

There are two types. JB access valve description for
ODF is always “swage fit.” The connecting tube OD
is the same OD as the fitting end. Therefore, A31723 A above will also slip into 5/16" OD tube. If connecting
to wrot copper fitting, use ODF swage size.
