Popina Swimwear located in
Portland, Oregon partnering with Synergy Design Firm for the 2021 Ad Campaign. After the chaos of 2020, and missing an entire summer of fun- Popina is
coming back strong. They want you to join!
This campaign was designed to ignite the imagination and creativity of their patrons while encouraging customers to ‘take back their summer’.
The concept of swimwear inside a giant fish tank was dreamt up by lead designer Amee Curtis, and collectively created by the Synergy team, Classic Exhibits and Taylormade Set Design. Taking the aquarium theme head on, the lighting was designed by Isaiah Johnson with a 6 light set up of various, interchanging neon lights & projected water movement.
The campaign called for a variance of imagery, so each suit provided by Popina was given it’s own tank theme; Bubbles/Pearls, Coral, Shipwreck, Jellyfish, and Shells.
The entire series of images was captured during a 12 hour day in studio, at Blend Studio located in Wilsonville, Oregon with a crew of 10, 5
models and some INCREDIBLE swimwear. Popina
