RETIREMENT PETER MUSCROFT, ACII 30 SEPTEMBER 2018
Mr. Muscroft has served the local insurance industry for over thirty-seven years. He joined RSA as Operations Manager in 1991 and after holding many positions was promoted to Vice President, Technical Operations. From 1974 to June 1981, he was employed by Sun Alliance & London Insurance Company in the UK, following which he was seconded to Insurance Management (Bahamas) Limited.
During Mr. Muscroft’s career at RSA he was instrumental in helping the Company transform from a UK subsidiary company of Sun Alliance to a majority Bahamian owned entity. Through his leadership and technical expertise, the Company’s underwriting performance has improved significantly. However, Mr. Muscroft’s greatest achievement was his ability to transfer his insurance
knowledge to co-workers, agents and industry colleagues.
Mr. Muscroft is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Chartered Insurer. He has held several positions with the Bahamas Insurance Association, including Chairman from 2006 to 2008 and is a past Director of the Bahamas Financial Services Board. He is a current Board Member and Treasurer of the Bahamas Crime Stoppers Foundation. Peter is an avid golfer and rugby enthusiast. He is married to Islee and they have two sons, Brannard and Ashlee.
