a gradual process of change and development; we are obligated to create stories new and more advanced than history has told.
Texas born and raised: director, writer, actor, and his most beloved newest addition as stunt coordina- tor; Michael W. Green has been intentional in creat- ing a new storyline. The careful and persistent work in creating the course of action despite the difficul- ties ruled in his favor as he recounts the story of ev- erything it took to bring Bruthas 321 to the screen in 2018. The key to persistence is having a vision and maintaining the faith; you will see it through. Disap- pointments become readily available when you in- clude third parties in your project and the budget to the film isn’t there. Nothing is personal, although it feels like it sometimes.
Michael began acting based on a dare from his long-time friend back some twenty years ago. En- rolled in KD Studios Conservatory of Theatre and Dramatic Arts; although, he didn’t graduate from the course the time he spent in his studies were mon- umental as his encounter with an instructor, Miss Hewitt, speaking favor over his life landed him his first acting gig for a medical therapy trade school off 635 & Josey Lane in Dallas. The pay was pence, the experience priceless. He has been working diligent- ly since 2011 in both film and television. He doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon.
Michael W. Green is represented by Dallas Tal- ent Agency, Linda McAlister. Dedicated to un- covering the importance of all story, he recogniz- es without faith the diligence to continue would be almost impossible. Staying true to his storyline, he enjoys creating faith-based films filled with co- medic breakdowns peppered with a bit of drama.
Winning Best Film at the Rack Ruckus Film Festival for Mr. Faithful Cheater has him on cloud nine. Recently wrapping on Through His Grace, he is on to the next set as Production of Blind Confession has begun. As a film- maker, he shared with me the greatest upset is when our egos get in the way of allowing us to finish a film. As an independent film-maker, Michael has a protocol when working with budgets paid or unpaid: are always dis- cussed, contracts are signed, and words should always be kept. The character of the person speaks volumes when they renege on their word. Yes, he will forgive them; however, he would think long and hard before consider-
ing working with them again.
Twenty years seems like yesterday, but it is only
the beginning with so much creativity in his heart and mind he doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. Plus, the local scene needs to experience local busi- nesses to create quality projects. Open to the collab- oration he requests one thing, integrity.
2019 is a big year for him and his film crew in- dustrious in bringing local artists and stories to the big screen with his own film and production compa- nies, M2GG Films and Mike GG Productions. Pro- duction has already begun on the next faith-based film, Blind Confession, that will be rarer in nature than his other faith-based films as real life always has darkness intertwined within the fabric of exis- tence. He is motivated, as a single dad, he recognizes the importance of showing his daughter with vision, all things are possible. Lunch dates with his mother and daughter are what he does on his downtime to relax and recharge when he isn’t busy working. For film credits, he is on IMDb under Michael W. Green. He is happy to recognize that the rare moments of life are what ignites the most important stories. Be inspired, write often, and try new experiences. Con- tinue to keep your hearts and minds open for future projects as his motto is LetzEat, LetzTalk, LetzFilm. Stay on the run with Michael W. Green.
