He was trying to find a way to be able to network with fitness mod- els. He was trying to find a supplement line and that did not work out. After looking around and doing research it really stuck out to him that there was not a broad perspective of African American women being portrayed in a positive light in regards to in-shape body types of the African American culture. He felt that it was lacking for women of color. Jean was only able to find one Black Women Fitness page.
When he started his IG page he was collaborating with a fitness model to promote each individual person’s business. Her idea was a quick self-process and was over provocative with her exposing of her- self. Jean wanted to promote, “Less of the Booty, More of the muscle” concept so he reached out on his own to start to promoting the “New Look of Fitness.”

He wants to Promote the Health and the Strength of a Woman and not the Provocative Woman that we have all grown accustomed to seeing and promoting.
Jean is originally from Miami, so he enjoys the nice lovely weath- er of South Florida. However, he is currently located in Tallahassee, Florida. He has been working out as long as he can remember; as early as his teenage years. He is not a competitor but he finds it important to take care of himself to this day. Jean was also able to work with and document, Nicole Chaplin. You can find the YouTube interview at youtu.be/NvPBNXT0f4s. His heart for the culture and uplifting black women has really inspired me to get my fitness on! Follow his Insta- gram page @BlackWomenFitness to see his collaborations with some lovely black women!
