free to be transparent so others can heal through their stories. The greatest feeling, she says is knowing the peo- ple in her life have her back and support her in achiev- ing her dreams. Big on support, a win-win situation is always first on her agenda. Her first runway show she adorned a beautiful lace bodice dress designed by Jrne Lara describing the piece as fun, flirty, and sexy. She felt a little naughty wearing it giving her a pure adrenaline rush with gratitude for herself in keeping fitness at the top of her list of things to do.
High School is generally the time that sets all peo- ple apart from childhood habits; parents are giving you the stern discussion on how it’s all going to count from now on, buckle down and focus. You have an oppor- tunity to choose your own classes, get into the groove of discovering who you are and whom you might want to become: the 14-year-old teenager with the support of parents, best friend’s mother as her modeling agent. A new type of happy was developing; along with ac- quiring a new work ethic while genuinely understand- ing the value of a dollar. Utterly uninterested in mean people with jealous hearts; she decided after three years on the varsity swim team to wrap up high school and graduate early and focus on life.
She recalls laughing at the memory of her father’s ex- pression seeing his baby girls first portfolio shots. She was just as shocked to see herself so beautifully. They had traveled down to Abilene to shoot with a well known local photographer, Steve Ellinger. She has discovered, she cannot be all things to all peo- ple; however, she can be her best for herself. Life at times seems like a fairy-tail with the stress of it all sometimes becoming overwhelming. She stays busy by continuing her college studies in pursuit of a career in optometry; working in the health and fitness industry; as she mod- els. To keep her in a present state of mind thoroughly grounded, she refers to a quote:
“Humble yourselves, then, under the mighty hand of Elo- him, so that He exalts you in due time, casting all your worry upon Him, for He is concerned about you. Be sober, watch, because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.” -Kepha Aleph
