UNPREDICTABLE BOLDNESS

Destany was born and raised in Dallas and though she but little, she is mighty. I had the chance to chat with the up and coming entertainer and when I asked what sealed the deal for her when it came to pursuing modeling she said; I have wanted to model since I was younger, as young as the 4th grade. I just recently came across the right opportunity and thought to myself I wish I would have done this sooner! For me it was al- ways modeling or writing.
She showed up to the first call and it quickly turned into what she had hoped for. It was all about network- ing and branching out as time progressed and she now has booked with various photographers and worked with other models as well. Not only is the camera fond of the charming young lady, she is in to runway as well as acting.
We all have our shit, so I asked Destany, what is a barrier you feel that you have faced? At 26 years old, I do have a child, he is six. I felt he was my top priority and I went to culinary school instead. It reminds me of 10 Provokeusmag.com

so many moms out there who sacrifice their dreams to raise little ones. Something about this story is telling me that it can be different and beautiful all the same. Speaking of shows I asked the talent what she had com- ing up and she shared a few details on a production out of Dallas, BLOOM Fashion Experience, a project that she takes part in. The flyer says an interactive eco fashion art experience, Destany read off proudly. She explained that the show aims to put a light on domestic violence and that topic speaks to Destany’s heart be- cause she was once a victim of it.
In some of her previous work Destany has been seen nude. I was curious to the inspirations behind such a bold move and so I asked:
What inspired you to pose naked? I am unashamed about my body now that I am older. She says that she embraced her smaller build and now it is a freedom of expression and she doesn’t mind doing it. To transition on I followed in with my next question, what type of modeling do you prefer most, group or individual? I prefer solo! Destany says she prefers to pass on work with too various of skill levels, so a well-orchestrated cast is her opt-in stipulation if she is requested for a group shoot.
