MR. TIME
“Your Time Is UP”
Mr. Time, a new independent film; directed, written and produced
by Troy S. Kimble and production company Eye Vision Studios, will leave audiences excited, tense and avoiding their clocks.
The new action revenge thriller weaves in multiple genres to tell the story of a father driven to desperate ends, hoping to save his son’s life. Tyrell Mason, played by Ron- ald Clemons, knows time is of the essence. His son, Jr., has one month to live and needs twenty-six grand to receive a lifesaving heart surgery operation. After a robbery with his friend Jason, played by Kel Davis, Mason is left little choice but to follow his friend’s advice and receive help from a mysterious man known as Mr. Time. Their relationship will be a difficult one, but Mason is willing to do anything to help save Jr.
James, also known as Mr. Time is cigar smoking, affluent and a power player by day. This character is reminiscent of noir-era villains. He’s smooth talking and brutal in his tac- tics. By night, this philanthropic lawyer is a sociopath driv- en mad by his psychopathic personality. He is extremely connected in politics and uses those connections to find underground and shady criminals. He uses his power to leverage connections with those who are willing to do whatever it takes to get money. Then James uses their des- peration to pressure them through timed challenges, for his own enjoyment. If Mason can complete the challenges in time though, he will win the money he needs to save his son’s life. In Mr. Time, the pressure is almost always on and the stakes are sky high.
Troy S. Kimble has weaved a story together that’s heart racing and dynamic. Not only that, but the script has comedic elements which alleviate the constant tension and allow audi- ences a moment to breathe. Whether it’s an argument about a drug deal robbery or a bickering old woman insisting her shooting prowess, Kimble has found a balance between the various genres, which is difficult to achieve in a script. Along with the strong and unique concept, the characters and cast leave little room for doubt, this will be a top-rated film.
The story lives and breathes amongst gritty streets. Audiences are transported to a world of crime and fast paces thrills where respect and honor is all the characters have to hold on to. This cast includes Pince (Alex Ryan Brown), a smooth-talking drug dealer, Christy Fields (Aquetta Stiger), the kind-hearted and worrisome girlfriend and Chanel Peterson (Lucretia Johnson). Mason must navigate his way through these complex relation- ships so he can complete Mr. Time’s challenges. If he is unable to do so, Jr. will not be able to afford the surgery and he will die at the end of the month.
Meanwhile, James (Mr. Time) is only interested in power and loyalty. Mason’s trust towards those around him is put to the test as he works his way through Mr. Time’s rat race. The manipulative man looks to thwart him at every turn. As the hero moves through the film, time grows thinner and thinner and audiences will be left clawing at the edge of their seats.
