I caught up with Netta B to have a quick chat and ask her about her plans and such. The 32-year-old female rapper has a cocky flow with a perfect touch of raw feminine power. I got right to it and got the specifics of her background. Born and raised in and around Muskogee, Oklahoma, while attending school in Wagoner, Okla- homa; her performing itch was scratched when she auditioned as an actress and had the opportunity to model and act. At that time, it was decided she should stick to her schooling. Upon graduation she doubled back to her pursuits of acting and modeling. To get started she began showing up for auditions heavily between 2005 and 2012, anything from America’s Next Top Model to America’s Got Talent. “I kept a lot of that to myself because I am a private per- son, but I’ve been chasing this, I’ve been chasing my dream.” Back when Netta started we didn’t have platforms that are used today such as social media pages and YouTube. Furthermore, local artist can legitimately be loaded to Tidal and other platforms to get spins. She admits to having a learning curve that she already takes into consideration. I am always working and minding my business is the motto I made for Netta.
Stage Name: Netta B: What’s the B for? My nickname is Wee Baby and my real name is Wanetta. I just took the Wetta and made it Netta and the B for baby “I couldn’t be running around her being called Wee Baby!”
I taunted her with the newest forever relevant choice in female lyricist world; Cardi or Nicki? “I have to focus on myself. I took myself away from all of that.” The response made sense to me, but I still had to break it to Netta that as soon as she made it, Nicki will come for her... she gave me her cool chuckle and said, “I have to be in competition with myself; I just have to be.”
What imprint do you want to leave on the world? I would have to say to be yourself, love yourself. There is so much negativity on social media and everyone wants to adapt to that. I want to be able to talk to people about love of self and focusing on yourself.
What gets you through a rough day? I have been recently going through it, I have walked away from deals because I didn’t feel like it was for me. But my family and friends reminded me to pray on it and let it go. My fans inbox me and keep me going too. Kaine, who can usually be found beside Netta is her love interest. I had men- tioned how well they interacted together on camera and she gushed that he was the LOL (love of her life).
“He actually heard me rap for the first time when I was trying to prove a point to my son” she laughed

Do you plan for worst case but anticipate the best? I con- stantly work, I feel like the best is coming, and I scare my- self sometimes because it is that real for me. Netta mentions how difficult it had started to be on relationships that were dear to her. She addressed the concerns and it was resolved. The most crucial times in some relationships are during the building process of big endeavors; it requires a healthy amount of love and understanding.
What’s is your delivery style? Versatile, because I want to do a pop song. I don’t want to put all my talents in one category. Her only music platform is YouTube, Netta B, and the normal social media pages Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat. Sometimes people can’t stand working with me because it must be perfect. I will tell them I want to do this over again. That is another reason I work so well with Kaine because when I can’t get it he backs me up, he gets it.
