Shaunagh Burge - Rita O'Grady
“Nothing changes if it isn’t challenged”.
Having made her debut for Whitley Bay Operatic Society in ‘The Wedding Singer’ Shaunagh is delighted to be back on stage with this amazingly talented cast.
She is thrilled to be embodying the story of the Ford women fighting for equal rights as the fiesty, spirited and sincere Rita O’Grady.
During her time as a performer Shaunagh has played roles such as: Mary Magdalene (JCSS); Swallow (WDTW) and Sarah Brown (Guys and Dolls).
She cannot wait to bring this heart-warming, poignant true story to life and invites you all to ‘Stand up!’
  Gary Roe - Eddie O'Grady
Most recently Gary was seen in ‘The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee’ as Vice Principal Panch at the Gosforth Civic Theatre and in ‘Rent’ as Benny at the Tyne Theatre. Other credits include: ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ (Original Cast, UK Tour), ‘Othello’ (Brockley Jack), ‘The Tempest’ (UK/UAE Tour), ‘Boeing Boeing’, ‘The 39 Steps’, ‘Joking Apart’, ‘The Hound of the Baskervilles’ (all at Manor Pavilion Theatre), ‘The Taming of the Shrew’ (St Leonard’s Church), ‘Blue Remembered Hills’ (New Diorama), ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ (UK/UAE Tour) and ‘City of Angels’ (Bridewell Theatre).
 Megan Crampsey - Clare
Megan is a Speech and Language Therapist who moved to Newcastle four years ago from her hometown of Glasgow. She has loved performing all her life and has always been a fan of a sequin or two. She has participated in numerous shows in Scotland and the Northeast, including Guys and Dolls, Jekyll and Hyde, Anything Goes, 42nd Street, My Fair Lady and Chicago. During university Megan also was the Creative Director of Edinburgh University's Showchoir.
This is Megan's second show with Whitley Bay Operatic Society, after sporting an unusually high number of moustaches in their April production of The Wedding Singer. She has loved every minute of rehearsing Made In Dagenham, and counts herself lucky to have found such a great group of friends in her new home!
   Bryony de Souza - Lisa Hopkins
Bryony currently works as an HR Manager but she’s always had a huge passion for performing arts, having performed in professional shows and TV productions since the age of 9 and trained in dance, singing and drama since the age of 2. Bryony’s previous roles have included Brooke Wyndham in Legally Blonde, Demeter in Cats, Lucy in Sweeney Todd, Sandy in Grease, Mrs Johnstone in Blood Brothers and Anita in West Side Story. She’s also performed in the West End touring production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Sunday Night at the London Palladium and numerous professional pantomimes.
This is Bryony’s third show with WBOS and she’s loving performing again with such a talented cast and crew!
