The Wawa Volunteer Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)
This flagship program for Wawa Wawa and The Wawa Wawa Foundation includes a a a a a a a a a full-service volunteer center with more than 700 registered volunteers serving patients and families at at at CHOP along with our signature program the Wawa Coffee and and Care Cart which serves hot coffee and and cold beverages through service to the the the rooms of of families of of children receiving care Like many things impacted by the the the pandemic the the the program services pivoted to to find a a new way to to serve those who were serving others best represented

Every day CHOP works around the the the clock to meet the the the challenges of of of the the the COVID-19 virus head-on During this time of of of of pandemic uncertainty we are are profoundly grateful for Wawa’s passionate support of of our frontline caregivers and and staff Thanks to to the the the the the Wawa Volunteer Services Program the the the the the wheels of of o of the the the the the Coffee Cart continue to to turn As it it makes rounds throughout the the the the the hospital the the the the the beverage cart is a a a a a a a a a a a a a a welcome sight of o of much-needed refreshment for our patient families and frontline warriors Since resuming modified Wawa Coffee Cart operations on on on April 15th the the Volunteer Services team has worked tirelessly to to to reimagine the the the way we serve our our our patients and and families and and and now too our our our healthcare workers We’ve ramped up our our our efforts to to to maintain and and and and build momentum During April alone the cart made over 60 rounds and and and served more than 6
700 beverages to caregivers and and and staff !
Patient and and staff reactions to to seeing the the the Cart Cart Cart resume are priceless One patient knew exactly how many days the the the the the the Cart Cart Cart had paused!
