Chat is a native Texan who attended The University of Texas, holds a B.A. in Psychology and is a licensed Broker in Texas and North Carolina. With a diverse background in multiple property types, he has developed the unique skills to creatively package and sell properties in all market conditions. His experience involves the successful marketing and sales of dense urban mixed-use projects, suburban mixed-use projects, master planned communities, hi-rise and mid-rise condominium towers, urban townhomes and lofts, branded residences, destination resorts, luxury estates, land, conversions and work-outs.
As Vice President of sales and marketing and Corporate Broker for a FORTUNE 200 company’s luxury real estate division, he set the vision and was instrumental in selecting, recruiting and training the talent for his sales teams that consistently ranked as top performers in the industry.
Chat has a passion for real estate and has been involved in resort development and luxury lifestyle properties for the past 15 years working with some of the nations largest real estate companies and luxury brands including Centex Destination Properties, St. Regis, The Ritz Carlton, National Land Partners and Terramesa Resorts to name a few. He has run successful sales and marketing campaigns across North America resulting in over $800 Million in total sales for his clients and has a track record for delivering results where others could not.
Michael is the Director of Sales and Marketing for multiple assets within Legacy’s portfolio, overseeing both builder relations and development. Michael is a young corporate executive with over 12 years of management and leadership experience in a variety of elds including aviation, logistics, digital marketing and real estate sales and marketing. This diverse background as a leader propels Michael towards an approach that’s focused on the daily leadership of people, focused on creating climates where the people around him thrive to their fullest and achieve their goals. Michael’s favorite sales and marketing philosophies to-date are derived from the Inbound Sales and Marketing methodologies, with a trained focus on the customer and identifying their unique needs.
Leading and executing within large and small teams within diverse organizations has given Michael a unique ability to maintain focus on the given mission while at the same ensuring his people are properly resourced to account for the larger mission as a single team. Driving synergy through relationships, accountable systems, and constantly open and transparent communications have always blessed Michael’s teams with a leading edge over the competition.
Prior to entering the real estate industry, Michael served as a military o cer in the U.S. Army Aviation branch as a UH-60 helicopter pilot, where he served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 1st Air Cavalry out of Fort Hood, Texas. Air Assault! A graduate of The United States Military Academy at West Point, Michael is a patriot who lives by the motto Duty, Honor, Country as well as the West Point Honor Code. Michael is a proud family man, living with his wife and two young daughters in Austin, Texas. Hailing from the great Hoosier state of Indiana, Michael misses home in the midwest but has truly embraced life as a Texan since arriving in 2007, serving now in the Texas Army National Guard since 2014 as a reserve component o cer with the 36th Combat Aviation Brigade.
