Welcome to Indian River County,
With each publication of the Arts & Cultural Guide, we gain a renewed sense of the richness of culture in Indian
River County. This is the sixteenth anniversary of the Cultural Council’s publishing of the Guide. The past year has been a trying experience, impacting every industry including the arts. We thank our advertisers, our members, and our volunteers, whose collaboration and support created this all-inclusive guide to community and cultural life in our county.
The Cultural Council’s diversified membership numbers over 200 and includes artists, museums, galleries and art clubs; choral groups, symphonies, orchestras and opera; literary arts, authors and writers; culinary arts; ecology and environment; history, heritage and cultural travel; musicians, performers and speakers; theatre and dance; community organizations, patrons, individuals and families; businesses and corporations.
Following its mission statement, the Cultural Council continually finds and supports opportunities for education in cultural arts, collaborates with member organizations, promotes cultural arts to residents and visitors, provides programming to showcase the arts, and advocates on issues of interest to its constituency.
We hope you, residents and visitors, will enjoy all the cultural life our county has to offer.
