The highlight of the year was our visit to Prague, a magical long weekend on July 6-8. We were seven from our team—Alexandra, Alicija, Elena, Kati, Lysanne, Maria Teresa, Markéta, plus family members and Aharon , a German translator of the Gene Keys with Saraj, his wife. Markéta and Ludek organised our visit and found a wonderful place for us in the beautiful Kapucinat monastery in Prague.
This was an amazing opportunity for us to meet in person and connect together with a good mixture of fun, sightseeing, eating out and ’professional discussions’. Richard joined us for an hour by Zoom during the weekend.
In 2018, we’ve spent significant time on working out how to make available the Weekly Pulse, Richard’s free videos/webinars and the new Hologenetic Profile in mother languages. To do so, we cooperate with Media Team and Philanthropy Hub, in organising Volunteers. We’ve developed a new page for the Society website, listing mother language hubs and translated works to enhance connections within the Gene Keys community.
We’ve also worked closely together with Gene Keys Publishing, to create a new publishing model between translators/ publishers and GKP. This new licence agreement is based on the values and principles of Gene Keys and offers more favourable conditions for translators/ publishers than a traditional contract while also safeguarding Richard Rudd’s author rights.
‘The core of our team is very alive: we’ve developed a sense of belonging, connection, honesty and mutual support that is of great value, transcending our working relationship as translators, editors, and publishers of Gene Keys. ‘
