Tim Butler - Head Brewer
Tim Butler is our muti-award wining Head Brewer. Since 2013 Tim has overseen our development and crafting of our range of beers, in that time he has brewed over 3.5 million pints of beer. Previously Tim, along with his wife Karen ran several successful pubs, with this knowledge he is ideally placed to produce beers which will suit every palate along with a great understanding of the pub trade, his dedication, commitment and passion for beers ensures that each and every pint can be enjoyed by our customers, also I am currently studying for my beer Sommelier .
Andy Quaye - Assistant Brewer
From being a young trainee technician, brewing cheap beer at home and my mates to the day I took early retirement to go into brewing full time, finding the perfect brew has been my life. Whilst gaining a Diploma in British Brewing Technology I met Gary and Tim and found they had a vacancy for a brewer and the rest, as they say, is history, I’ve been at Pennine for almost 2 years now. My job is mainly brewing the beer and transferring it into the casks ready to go out to the pubs, but I also create recipes for new beers and even make trial batches at home so we can evaluate new beers before committing to a full brew. For me the best part of the job is going to a pub in an evening, watching people enjoying drinking our beer and being able to say “I made that”
