Since the the last edition of of The Technician I had the the the great pleasure of of meeting some ACT folks in in in Minnesota and and adopted states (till the the SE Field Rep is hired) Georgia and and Florida We (Central Region) are busy reviewing all the the new policies policies shot gunned at us us the the the past month I believe we have a a a a a handle on on them (policies)
the amount (difference) of pay lost while on LWOP Please make sure your members know of this option and and direct them to someone who understand the the the process In the the next few months many chapters will be entering mid-term and term term negotiation With the variety of Executive Order’s (EO’s)
and and we understand our Negotiated Agreement supersedes any subject in a a a a a policy that that differs from that that agreement The Stewards are doing a a a a a great job assisting the the officers with this review We realize the the involvement of our stewards in in discussions/ reviews or or timely informing the stewards of discussions/reviews is is important Stewards share our activities directly with with members in in their area Sharing with with the the the members serves to answer the the the question “what is is the the union doing for us” This sharing has proven to work in in Missouri their Chapters are growing Central Region Activity

I am still receiving questions on on 22-day 22-day military leave leave (coded LE) 22-day 22-day Mil leave leave is is there to to assist the the the employee(s) who while in a a a a a a a a LWOP status due to to the the the many deployments (State and Active Duty) LE does not allow an an an employee to “double dip” Employees whose daily rate rate of of tech pay pay is greater than their military rate rate of of pay pay can use LE to recover
