The SafeBloc is a triple hole thimble that adds friction in the rigging system to the top of the tree, thus adding safety by reducing rigging point stress, compared to a system that uses a block or pulley.
Lightweight and durable, the SafeBloc has no mov- ing parts to wear out or damage, and is hard-coat- ed for extended wear. It comes spliced onto an adjustable whoopie sling, or standard straight sling, available in 3/4-inch Tenex from Samson.
Use the SafeBloc anywhere you'd use an arborist block for lowering. The rigging line can be woven through the three holes for its maximum friction, or fewer holes for less friction. However, the climber should not have to travel back to the SafeBloc to do any adjustments; just pick the friction level predict- ed and continue to use it. You can use the SafeBloc without a basal lowering device on small-to-medi- um loads, but once you get to medium-and-above size loads, it's time to add the basal lowering device.

Running your rigging line through more than one hole of the Triple Thimble reduces forces on the rigging point and makes it easier to control the load, all without introducing any rope- on-rope friction.
