This solid-braid family of ropes are a bit more elastic than their core/cover cousins (16-strand, double braids, etc.) Solid braid ropes wear quite well in the face of natural crotch interaction. In fact some climbers prefer the way the rope “furs-up” with wear and tear. Although a bumpier ride than ropes with more strands, these lines are naturally twist-resistant due to design.
