Another memorable campaign is ‘Tek Charge’ for Magnum Tonic Wine, the official drink of dancehall, and Jamaica’s highest-selling tonic wine. October of this year also saw the brand’s partnership with Trinidadian soca star Patrice Roberts and Jamaican dancehall artiste Ding Dong. The aim is that they will help the brand to connect with Magnum Tonic Wine consumers throughout the Caribbean region.
FUTURE PLANS
It was indeed an eventful year for the hardworking marketing team and for 2018 the department hopes to create more channels of opportunity for sales. A feat that won’t be easy since the brand already represents 70% of the market share here in Jamaica. “When you’re already so big there’s less opportunity for growth” noted Borsa, “but if anyone can make the impossible happen, it’s Wray & Nephew!”
