Ruby Buckle Horse Sale

The Ruby Buckle Horse Sale was held
Aug. 26 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The sale was held in conjunction with Ruby Buckle Barrel Race.
A total of 57 horses were consigned to the sale, with 17 no sales, for a total of 40 horses selling, including three embryos, for $1,081,300 and an average price of $27,033.
Hip #15 was the $320,000 high seller. Famous Sierra (JL Dash Ta Heaven-Sierras Cashin In, Cash Not Credit) was consigned by Jolene Montgomery and purchased by Suzonne Franks and Billy Wayne. The 2015 brown stal- lion is a barrel money earner of over $36,000 and is a full brother to GTBRA Barrel Equinety Spring Classic Open 1D Reserve Champion Sierra Skye. He is the sire of 10 foals, with his oldest being three years of age. Famous Sierra is by World Champion Junior Pole Bending Horse JL Dash Ta Heaven, a leading sire of barrel horses of more than $4.5 million.
The second-highest seller at $101,000 was Hip #49 Swingers Kandy (The Kandyman-Hip Swingin Gypsy, Firewaterontherocks), consigned by Peter Oen and purchased by Southwestern
Hip #15 Famous Sierra was the high seller at $320,000.
Pink Buckle Horse Sale

The Pink Buckle Horse Sale was held
Oct. 7 at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma. The sale was held in conjunction with Pink Buckle Barrel Race.
A total of 112 horses were consigned
to the sale, with 28 no sales, for a total of
84 horses sold, including 14 embryos for $4,450,000 and an average price of $52,976.
Hip #37 was the $850,000 high seller. Ms Trucoseix (Tres Seis-Dontblinkorulemissme, Volcom) was consigned by Victory Farms and purchased by Suzonne & Billy Wayne Franks. The 2014 gray stallion is a 1D Champion by Champion sire Tres Seis and out of lightly raced Dontblinkorulemissme. His first foals are two year olds.
The 2nd-highest seller at $210,000 was
Hip #91 Listen Lynda Listen (The Goodbye Lane-Royal Sissy Irish, Royal Shake Em), consigned by Kiowa Creek Performance Horses and purchased by Reliance Ranches. The 2021 bay filly is a half-sister to Champions DM
Sissy Hayday and Shake The Flame. She is by Leading Barrel Sire The Goodbye Lane and out of 2021 #2 Leading Barrel All/Age, All/ Divisions Royal Sissy Irish.
Hip #37 Ms Trucoseix was the $850,000 high seller.
Farms. The 2020 buckskin colt is a half-brother to Hip Happy Hayday, who finished top 10 in the Old Fort Days Open Barrel Futurity and Royal Crown Breeders Waco Barrel Futurity Open 1D this year. Swingers Kandy is by BFA World Barrel Racing Juvenile Futurity Sire Slot
