(Jan. 17) 2019 colt Blood Money (Apollitical Blood-Zoom To The Money, Shazoom), the
#1 leading money earning colt of 2021 with $1,123,142 earned, died while undergoing colic surgery. Bred by Spring Hill Farms LLC and owned by Rojas Racing Stables LLC, Blood Money won seven of eight starts including the LQHBA Louisiana Million Futurity-RG1, Lee Berwick Futurity-RG1 and Laddie Futurity with a second in the LQBHA Sale Futurity-RG2.

WORLD CHAMPION COLD CASH 123
(Apr. 12) 2011 World Champion, Champion 3 Year Old and Champion-3-Year-Old Gelding Cold Cash 123 (Oak Tree Special-Hot Cash 123, Takin On The Cash) died of colic at the age of 14 at Michigan State University. Bred and owned by Carolyn C. Bay’s T Bill Stables Inc., the 2008 bay gelding won 13 of 27 starts with $1,409,781 in earnings and nine stakes wins including seven Grade 1 events. Cold Cash 123 retired in 2013 to Cornwell Ranch, where he was raised, along with his dam, granddam and great-granddam.

TEMPTING DASH
(May 5) 2009 Champion Two-Year-Old Colt Tempting Dash (First Down Dash-A Tempting Chick, Chicks Beduino) died from an inoperable diaphragmatic hernia. The stallion only raced as a two year old with a perfect 4-for-4 race record and earnings of $673,970 with wins in the Texas Classic Futurity-G1
and Dash For Cash Futurity-G1. He also set two New Track Records for 400 yards at Lone Star Park. Tempting Dash is the sire of over $13.1 million and $27,568 average earnings
per starter with 34 stakes winners, including 2-time Champion Kiss My Hocks ($1,199,385). He is also the sire of 2022 Decketta Stakes-G2 winner A Dash Of Sign, who also won the 2021 Southern California Derby-G2. Tempting Dash is owned by Tempting Dash Syndicate and was standing at Granada Farms with a full book for 2022. “A once-in-a lifetime kind of horse. That was Tempting Dash,” said Jimmy Eller of Granada Farms. “I am saddened by the loss of this great stallion in the prime of his life. The shock of his untimely passing will not only be felt by the syndicate members, but by the entire industry. He will be greatly missed.”

(May 31) 2004 Champion 3-Year-Old Colt Brimmerton si 104 (First Down Dash-Fitting Celebration, Ronas Ryon) died at the age
of 21. Bred and owned by Bobby D. Cox, Brimmerton was ranked a leader by earnings and wins in 2004. He earned $519,538 with seven wins including in the All American Derby-G1, Rainbow Derby-G1, Texas
Derby Challenge-G3, and as a finalist in the Retama Park Futurity-G1 and Texas Classic Futurity-G1. Brimmerton is the sire of over $5.9 million, including top earner King Brimmerton ($348,698), and is the broodmare sire of Mexico Champion Valentino Mystery.

RELENTLESSLY
3-time Graded stakes winner Relentlessly (Hes Relentless-Runaway Renata, Carters Cartel) recently died. The four-year-old brown colt earned a 104 speed index and $343,743 winning the 2021 Heritage Place Derby-G2, and the 2022 Eastex Stakes-G2 and Bob Moore Memorial-G2. He was also second
in the Oklahoma Futurity-G2, third in the B.F. Phillips Jr. Stakes, and a finalist in the Leo Stakes-G1 and Oklahoma Derby-G3.
Relentlessly, who was bred by Randy and Sandy Coleman and owned by Aguila Negra Racing Inc., was ranked a leader by earnings and wins in 2021.
