A journey from Canada to Oklahoma during winter is
never easy. But in the time of
the pandemic, it was even more difficult because of the restrictions Canada had put in place. That didn’t deter Wesley Oulton, however, from attending the ceremony when his Eyesa Timber won as Canadian Champion.
Janet VanBebber noted that Oulton hasn’t missed an awards ceremony for 10 years. He was especially proud to be there
this time because he has been completely involved with Eyesa Timber’s campaign. Oulton bred the gelding in Alberta, Canada, and owns and trains him.
A very emotional Oulton gratefully accepted the award.
