2020 Fulton Performance Sale
The 2020 Fulton Performance Sale will have
a change of format this year. The sale will be private treaty and horses will be sold from the ranch. The sale offers two year olds by A Streak Of Fling, CS Flashlight and A Dash Ta Streak, plus a fine selection of broodmares and finished performance horses. WCRA, WPRA & The Cowgirl Gathering Coordinate Schedules
The WCRA (World Champions Rodeo Alliance), WPRA (Women’s Professional
Rodeo Association) and The Cowgirl Gathering announced on Oct. 1 that they would join together to coordinate their competition schedules. With these three events conducted over the same weekend, athletes will be able
to compete in these events with limited
schedule conflict in one of the largest weekends in women’s rodeo history with a combined projected payout of over $1.2 million. The WCRA Women’s Rodeo World Championship with a $750,000 estimated payout will be held Nov. 8-15 in Fort Worth and Arlington, Texas, the WPRA World Finals with a $250,000 estimated payout will be held Nov. 12-14 in Waco, Texas, and The Cowgirl Gathering with a $205,000 estimated payout will be held Nov. 13-15 in Fort Worth.
2021 Breeders’ Dynasty Premier Horse Sale
The Breeders’ Dynasty Premier Horse Sale is changing to an every-other year format, so there will be no sale held in 2020. Ima Special Guy Dies
Ima Special Guy, aka Jocko, died at the end
of September at Lone Star Performance
Horses in Texas. The 2013 Paint stallion is
by Frenchmans Guy, the #1 leading living
sire of barrel horses, and out of Ima Treasure Seeker, a consistent barrel running mare by multiple World Champion barrel sire Special Contender. Ima Special Guy’s first foals are two year olds of 2021.
The Kandyman Dies
The Kandyman (Tres Seis-Famous Silk Panties, Dash Ta Fame) passed away in August. The 2013 bay stallion was first in the VGBRA Futurity, and was a finalist in the Classic Equine Futurity, Greg Olson Memorial Slot Futurity, Lance Graves Pro Classic Slot Futurity, among many other events. Owned by Valerie A. Kiphart, The Kandyman earned $24,261 under rider Hallie D. Hanssen.
