    The 45th annual Heritage Place Yearling Sale was held Sept. 21-23 in Oklahoma City. The sale saw 665 head sell with gross receipts of $27,000,400 compared to last year’s $22,619,200, setting a record average sale price of $40,602, which is a 5% increase from 2022.
During the sale, 53 yearlings broke the six figure mark with 16 surpassing the $200,000 mark.
“Our team would like to thank all the buyers and consignors for their business and wish everyone much success at the race track,” said Heritage Place General Manager Spence Kidney.
The highest seller at $450,000 was
Hip #545 Fast Flyer 123 (Flying Cowboy 123-Uptowne Babe, Mr Jess Perry) consigned by Jordan Wiggins, Agent for Sam W. Green and purchased by Triple Five. The colt is the first foal out of Uptowne Babe, winner of the Heritage Place Futurity-G1. His second dam is stakes winner Ms Southern Dynasty, who produced Uptown Dynasty, winner of the Ruidoso Futurity-G1.
The co-second highest seller at $370,000 was Hip #425 Times Awasten (Favorite Cartel- Flashing My PJs, First Moonflash) consigned by South Fork Equine, LLC, Agent for LS Racing, Inc. and purchased by Barron Racing/Empire Racing/Tungsten Racing/Pavon Racing.
The co-second highest seller at $370,000 was Hip #358 Charlenas Cowgirl (Flying Cowboy 123-Jess Charlena, Take Off Jess) consigned
by Marty Powers, Agent for Tom & Kathleen McNally and purchased by Bobby D. Cox.
Rachuan Suarez MVZ led all buyers, purchasing 19 yearlings for $692,000, while Bobby D. Cox led the consignors/agents with 31 yearlings selling for $3,134,000. Apollitical Jess was the sale’s leading sire
by average with 27 yearlings selling for an average of $120,815.
