Trial #1 – Race #4 –
Break Away James, the third fastest qualifier, broke in third, took
the lead at the top of the stretch and held
on to win by 1-length. Following in second was Real Easy Sign (#4), the tenth fastest qualifier. Captain Blood finished third and did not qualify.
Trial #2 – Race #5 –
This Wire Is Hot, the second-fastest qualifier, broke well and quickly
took the lead, winning with confidence over fourth fastest qualifier Baileys N Corona (#5). Lota Cowboy Try (#8) finished third and qualified sixth fastest.
Trial #3 – Race #6 –
Queen For Cash, the fifth fastest qualifier, won in a wire-to-wire run over Wired Two Twenty, who did not qualify. MH Famous Moonshine finished third.
Trial #4 – Race #7
– Tales U Lose, the
fastest qualifier, won by
1 1/4-length in a wire- to-wire victory over RP Live Wire Kent (#9), who qualified with the seventh fastest time. Power Fade (#5) finished third and qualified with the eighth fastest time. WB Stevie Nix (#6) finished fourth with the ninth fastest qualifying time.
