 JESS GOOD CANDY, THE SIRE
At the beginning of the “Making of a Sire Series” Cheryl Pevehouse (Carl’s daughter) made the following statement about the anticipation of Jess Good Candy as a sire, “I have heard from many people that this is the horse everybody has been looking for. They have said this is the horse we’ve waited on.”
Butch Wise continued along that line with the following, “He has this undefinable aura about him. He projects it. He possesses it. You’ve got a pedigree that is as deep as
a well. And he is an outcross horse that so many mares are begging for an outcross horse today. The probability that this horse will make a successful sire is very high.”
Well, Jess Good Candy appears to be on his way to fulfilling what the breeders were looking for in a breeding stallion. He is the 2020 AQHA Leading Freshman
